May — Presented a poster on BigBrain at the CSHL, Biology of Genomes meeting held at Long Island, NY, USA.
March — SingleBrain published in Nature Genetics!

December — Completed a 4 month co-op at Merck, Cambrdige, MA, USA. Fantastic experience of R&D at a big pharma - thanks to DAGS team.
October — Presented my “Reviewer’s Choice” poster at ASHG!
June — Presented my work as a poster at the first Alzheimer’s disease GRC co-chaired by Towfique!

November — Presented a short talk at Genome Informatics 2024, Wellcome Genome Campus, United Kingdom.
May — Gave a short talk work at the Jackson Laboratory Long-Read Sequencing Workshop.
May — Published “Alzheimer’s disease rewires gene coexpression networks” in npj Systems Biology and Applications.

November — Delivered a platform oral presentation at the American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) Annual Meeting, Washington, DC.
July - Advanced to PhD candidacy after successfully defending my dissertation proposal.

November — Completed the Advanced Gene Mapping course held at Rockefeller University, New York, NY, USA.
August — Participated in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives through the Center of Excellence in Youth Education (CEYE) at Mount Sinai.

August — Joined the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai as a PhD student in Biomedical Sciences.
June — Contributed data for the iGEM InterLab studies, now published in PLOS ONE.

September — Contributed to the publication of the iGEM 2018 InterLab Study in Communications Biology.
February — Presented updates on ChassiDex at the EMBO Symposium Designing Biological Systems.

December — Master’s thesis work on Alzheimer’s disease inter-tissue co-expression network dysregulation was presented at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Conference: Development and 3D Modeling of the Human Brain.
October — Presented work on the spatial progression of Alzheimer’s disease at BESCON 2019.
July — Released the ChassiDex preprint on bioRxiv.

May — Conducted undergraduate summer research at the CDrum Lab, National University of Singapore (NUS).

ASHG Trainee Awards for Excellence in Human Genetics Research (2025)
- Selected as one of 21 predoctoral semifinalists from over 800 applicants. Awarded a travel and a cash award of $750 by the American Society of Human Genetics held at Boston, MA, USA.
Genome Informatics 2024
- Recipient of the bursary Award + Graduate Student Travel Award for Genome Informatics 2024 held at Hinxton, South Cambridgeshire, England.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Poster Competition, Shaastra 2019
- One of 6 winning teams selected from 26 finalists for presenting the ChassiDex project held at Chennai, India. Awarded for developing a user-friendly web page to codon optimize protein sequences for different chassis, using Python library Flask, HTML, CSS.
iGEM 2018
- Led the IIT Madras team to a Gold Medal at the International Genetically Engineered Machine Competition held at Boston, MA, USA.
iGEM 2017
- Received a Silver Medal as a member of the IIT Madras iGEM team held at Boston, MA, USA.
